A Guide to the Neopian Auctions

Stupid Auction Scorchio

If you have an item or items you want to put up for auction, or if you want to see if you can get a deal on an item you need, then the Neopian Auction House is the place to visit.

The auction house works like a regular auction in real life. A person will put an item up for auction, list a starting price, an increment for increase, and they must determine how long they want the item to be up for auction. If an item is not bid on, it will return to the owner’s inventory after a brief period of time (NOTE: Depending on how many auctions are being processed by the Neopets servers, it can take anywhere from no time to a few hours before you receive your item. To see how long it will take your completed auction to be processed, visit the Status page).

Morphing Potion and Transmogrification Potion Information

Here is a small guide to morphing and transmogrification potions, how to get them, and how they work.

Green Grundo Morphing PotionBlue Eyrie Morphing Potion

Morphing Potions are some of the most valuable items in Neopia. Potions can either change your Neopet’s color or change your Neopet’s species, or they they can do both. For instance, a Yellow Elephante Morphing Potion will only change a Red Elephante’s color. However, that same potion will completely change a Blue Eyrie. Potions do not come in every possible variety, but there are dozens of different ones out there worth varying amounts of Neopoints.

All potions are made by Kauvara in her magic shop, however occasionally tainted potions make their way into her shop and can have quite sinister effects on your Neopet. Created by Dr. Sloth and known as Transmogrification Potions, these vile concoctions will turn your Neopet into a mutant. Perhaps the most famous of these potions is the Draik Transmogrification Potion, although there are many popular ones out there with new ones being released all the time. Only these potions, the Lab Ray, and the Rainbow Fountain can make your Neopet into a mutant.

Simple Pharmacy Restocking Guide

Ok, think about this. So you can make about 20 to 60k playing games, you can make about 30 to 40k in a day sniping, you can make 100 to 200k by shop restocking! Add it up. You would have to play games for almost 7 hours to get that much. It would take 10 hours to snipe that much money. This guide will tell you how to restock things in the pharmacy. It will tell you what to restock, when to restock, how to price your items, and how to restock so keep reading.

Open a shop
This is simple go to your shop, and pay 150 nps to open the shop, you can upgrade later.

What should I restock?
First I’d like to point out the best thing to restock, it rarely comes but when it does, you can buy it for 10k, and then resell it for 50k to 75k. Then there are tongue shrinkers. They sell for 1300 in the shops. You can sell them in your shop for 2200 to 2800. Then there are neck braces. They sell for 5k in the pharmacy but then you can resell it in your shop for about 25k. That’s what I suggest you restock.

Information about Neopets Premium

Neopets Premium is a service for Neopets that gives you many special features on the site. It costs real money, though. Here are some of the things it provides:

Portal
The Neopets Portal is, basically, a collection of links and information, some neo-related, some not. There is a collection of dailies. There is Neo news, real world news, and a calendar. It has some stock market info, real world and Neopets. It shows the weather, Mapquest, real world and Neopian weather, a clock, and a calculator. It has beta test games and the super shop wiz, which will be talked about later.

Webmail
Neopets Webmail is online E-mail. Your address is your username at Neomail.com. There are exclusive Neopets smilies. Also, you can get random events via Webmail. These random events either give 700-1500 Neopoints and a random item or a rare item.

Beta Testing
Premium users can beta test games. This means playing games before they are released to the public. They can send bug reports on the games to TNT via E-mail. Sending your score won’t give you Neopoints while the game is in testing. Also, site features are sometimes, but rarely. One of the recently tested site features was Customization, which was later tested by the public.

Hidden Neopets Site Themes

Neovia Site Theme:
This theme can be acquired through the participation of the “Tale of Woe” plot. If you did not complete this plot, the theme is unavailable to you. If you have participated in some way, visit Sophie’s Shack (in Neovia) to receive the theme.

Altador Cup Site Theme:
To get this website look, you must participate in at least one match in the Altador Cup, from any year. You must actually play one of the three game options, however. You cannot simply ‘cheer’ for one of the finalists. Unless, of course, you are cheering in the ‘Make Some Noise’ game. To redeem your efforts for this theme, visit the Altador Cup Prize page once the tournament is over.

Curse of Maraqua Site Theme:
This elite and undersea theme has to do with the ‘Curse of Maraqua’ site plot. To get this now unavailable theme, you must have participated in the Maraquan War. It costs one war point on the Maraquan prize page.

Valentine’s Day Site Theme:
If you are feeling particularly lovable, or just love pink, this is the site
theme for you. You can gain access to it by sending someone a ‘Mysterious Valentine’s Card.’ You can also enjoy the theme if you receive the same item. Be warned, the item is very expensive if not bought in a restock shop.

Raise Stats for the Battledome

There are many ways to raise your pet’s stats, here are some suggestions.

Training School
The training school is not always a good choice, especially if you do not have any spare codestones. The training school always asks for a certain amount of randomly chosen codestones for every course, depending on your pet’s level. (The higher level, the more codestones.). This method usually only gives you one point up of whatever area you choose, but occasionally you may get a “Super Bonus” of 2, 3, or even 4 points! It happens randomly, just like a Random Event. Codestones can be very expensive, around 3,500 or even more Neopoints in user shops. The only other way to find these is by random events. So if you find any on the floor, why not save it? You may need it in the future.

Kitchen Quest
Kitchen Quests can be very expensive, but sometimes you’ll get a cheap one. Or if you buy the items asked for in the main shops they aren’t quite as expensive. Sometimes you’ll get Neopoints or even items, not stat raising, but sometimes you do. You never know.

Trading Post Tips and Safety

Tip One

As you know you the idea is to buy low sell for a profit and the trading post is no exception. Hunt for the bargain lots they are out there, you just have to have alittle patience like fishing but you’ll find them they are out there.

Tip Two

Make offers on lots that have sellable items like paint brushes, codestones, dubloons, nerkmids and especially map pieces. Species weapons, petpets, food, plushies items like that are alittle tougher to sell right away so unless you find an amazing deal, have a mall or you don’t mind the items sitting in your shop for awhile I generally avoid them.

Tip Three

You found a lot and you’d like to make an offer. Make sure you know what the items are worth before making any offer at the trading post. Check with the NeoPets Shop Wiz on every item, this is a must! You don’t want to end up paying more than what they are worth at the NeoPets Shop Wiz. For unbuyables do a browse check of the item at the Trading Post to see what other people are asking as well as the rechecking the NeoPets Shop Wiz, you never know someone may say it’s an unbuyable but that’s not necessarily true, or it may very well be an unbuyable but someone is selling it for under 100k.. Good Score!

The Lab Ray

So you have found your way to my lab, have you? I’m working on a new experiment, a ray that will give any NeoPet super powers, and great strength. Of course it’s not finished yet, but if you are willing to take the risk then I may let you have a go.

The lab map pieces can be very pricey, but are easy to get your hands on. They are often given out in random events, however, you are better off buying them straight from user shops or from the trading post. The whole map itself goes for about 1.1millionNP, and each piece can range from 50K and up. Most people save up and buy the complete set off of trades, rather than a piece at a time.

Basics

You can only zap one NeoPet once a day. These changes cannot be undone and it’s random on what happens. The lab ray is located under Treasure Maps in the puzzle games section.

Can and Can’ts

Although the lab ray does have a wide range of possibilities for your pet, there are some things that it cannot do.
